What are some of the ways to get help with Dynamics 365 Business Central? From learning series to the help feature on the page itself – we have covered it all here!
Microsoft Learn
If you are a new Dynamics 365 Business Central user, then Microsoft Learn is a great place to start. You can filter on different levels (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) and roles (Business User, Functional Consultant, etc.). There are learning paths available which are a high-level grouping of multiple modules. You can choose a learning path or go directly to the modules. These are geared towards learning new concepts rather than just answering specific questions. Sometimes they include short videos or screenshots. You can also create a training plan by adding these learning paths or modules to a collection and monitor your progress.
Help & Support
If you have a question on a specific feature or page in Business Central, you can go to that page and click on help (?). It is a very efficient way of learning.
For example – You want to learn more about Approval User Setup. You can go the Approval User Setup page > ? > Help & Support. If you click on the link under ‘Find it’, it will take you to the page within the online reference and provide you with specific step by step actions.
Overview of Business Functionality
You can save this full help reference as a bookmark. It gives you an overview of the business functionality for business areas like finance, sales, inventory, etc..
YouTube Videos
There are a lot of free training videos available on YouTube created by Microsoft partners. Microsoft has their own playlist too that you may find useful.
Tensoft adds training demos on new features and functionalities to its YouTube channel on a regular basis.
A few other playlists that I would recommend are from Inecta and WebSan Solutions.
When you are searching online for help, you may find references to Navision. The information is getting a little outdated but there is still some help in user communities that talk about Navision. That could be helpful too.
