Tensoft has recently released an integration tool – Kind Connect – to bring your data from any external application into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. To get an overview of this robust application, watch this introductory video below, including a short demo of the application.
Following is a partial transcription of the video highlighting the benefits of Kind Connect Integration.
“The benefits of Kind Connect Integration are:
Streamlined Integration
We have streamlined integration- so we don’t spend much time building it out. We can do an easier target model. It eliminates the Pass/Fail model and so a lot of Business Central integration APIs are really about rejecting the data if it is not perfect. We accept the data in a closed model instead of a perfect model. It allows you to then see the error messages without writing them all yourselves. It allows you to improve the quality of integration over time. You can get it done faster and move it in quicker and then over time you can see the error messages give feedback to the external system and reduce those errors or data validation issues over time.
Error Handling
Second thing it does is, because it has written all the error messages for you, it saves you a lot of time in that area as well. The error messages give you a lot of time the systems are cryptic and it’s hard to interpret, it requires a technical person to do it and more of this moves to a business analyst or system user and read them error messages and understand the issues and move it forward. And so, the technical person’s part becomes moving the data in rather than handling, the data validation becomes the part of business analyst and the user community.
Audit Tracking
And if you think about the reasons that you would do an integration, if you step back in general, there are reasons you might have an external system, it might be an ecommerce system, it might be your secret sauce and you have some sort of web application or internal management system that does things that you want to bring in. It could be an external CRM system. Whatever reason that it is that you are bringing the data in, sometimes the finance team may not have direct access to it or may be that you don’t have a lot of influence on it. And so the final benefit of it is really that it gives you more control over the integration process as well because we are moving data into the staging table, you can review it and finalize it and make sure it works for your system without having to trust an outside system fully but still getting the benefits of the integration fully and moving the data into your system in an automated way. We do track the audit changes, so you have the full audit control as well.”
